Amazon's Finance Technology organization (FinTech) builds and maintains the finance technology applications that enable new business growth, compliance with financial and tax reporting obligations, and analysis of our financial data. Through our products, we aim to maximize time spent by Finance teams on high value analysis, reduce the growth of operating expenses, and improve the vendor experience.

Key job responsibilities

· Ability to design and code efficient solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

· Drive best practices and engineering excellence.

· Work with other team members to develop the architecture and design of new and current systems.

About the team

Join the FinCompass team in FinTech org and be part of enabling other Amazonians to create and process financial data at lowest latency records! The Finance Data Highway team supports more than 1800 datasets which help generate more than 5500 reports totaling 14 petabytes of data with record counts ranging from hundreds to billions!

Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
