Job Title VP, Software Development
What does a successful VP, Software Development do at Fiserv? As a VP, Software Development at Fiserv, you will spearhead efforts to modernize and rearchitect our applications, ensuring they align with business demands. You will develop strategic technology roadmaps while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, agile coaches, and clients in an Agile environment to deliver high-value software. You will foster a client-centric engineering culture and lead multiple critical workstreams with a focus on swift execution and engineering excellence.
This role will lead development teams delivering solutions spanning digital banking, identity, risk assessment, fraud detection, decision management and is also responsible for Digital Cloud Engineering. We are a rapidly growing and highly capable engineering team building the applications to move money and information in a way that moves the world.
What you will do: Deliver high-quality solutions and product capabilities efficiently Drive engineering and technology excellence across multiple groups and build client centric solutions Build, nurture and lead teams to achieve rapid, high-quality results and align on measurable goals Identify and implement systems and tools to enhance engineering velocity and evolve the product portfolio Attract, evaluate, and guide top software engineering talent to drive innovation and client value Maintain and enhance an engineering culture focusing on ownership, autonomy, quality, and speed Collaborate with Product management and UX to implement Agile practices and refine engineering processes such as version control and automated testing
What you will need to have: 12+ years of experience leading development teams and organizations across all lifecycle phases and driving process improvements 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development, cloud services, data structures, and resilient services 8+ years of experience in managing expectations for and communicating with Senior Executives and Clients 8+ years of experience in managing a financial portfolio spanning 10+ products and 100+ resources 6+ years of experience in managing large vendor engagements, driving those vendors to deliver specific outcomes 6+ years of experience in managing and coaching managers and senior technologists to deliver global, scalable solutions swiftly and with high quality 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably in Azure Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
What would be great to have: Experience in the financial services industry Proficiency in using test automation, CI/CD to ensure high-quality software products and guiding distributed teams to deliver client centric solutions

Salary Range $230,000.00 - $348,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
